Purposes and Interest
The Tuscaloosa Kennel Club is a non-profit
organization devoted to the advancement of all breeds of pure-bred dogs
and to responsible dog ownership.
Education
One of the major projects of the club is to foster
responsible dog ownership. To
that end we have provided books, magazines and video tapes to the
Tuscaloosa Library that appeal to a wide range of canine interest. So far contributions to the Library in this effort have
exceeded $7,000. We also
contribute $1,000 annually to Auburn University, School of Veterinary
Medicine to be used in the Small Animal Clinic to benefit dogs. TKC also
makes annual contributions to the Morris Animal Foundation, Guide Dog
Foundation for the Blind and Dogs for the Deaf. Programs at meetings
range from dogs health and training to breed histories and dog showing. |
